WHAT IS V3SSP & WHO IS IT FOR?
VOW 3S's© Sponsorship Programme (V3SSP) is an investment in people. It is valuing our workforce through action.
V3SSP is a structured sponsorship programme for Black, South Asian, and racially minoritised practitioners working within children's social care. Funded by organisations committed to valuing their workforce, V3SSP creates dedicated space for practitioners to think about their professional journeys, aspirations, strengths, contribution, influence, and future possibilities.
V3SSP is distinct from mentoring, supervision, and coaching in the traditional sense. While it draws upon psychosocial and systemic thinking, its primary purpose is to cultivate confidence, professional visibility, progression, retention, and leadership in its broadest sense.

VOW’s 3S's© Approach provides a structured framework to think things through. The approach recognises that professional development is not simply about moving into management or leadership positions. It is about creating opportunities for practitioners to be seen, heard, valued, and supported to flourish in ways that are meaningful to them.
Providing Support
Creating a supportive and reflexive space in which practitioners can explore aspirations, identify strengths, and make sense of workplace experiences. Scaffolding helps establish the foundations from which future possibilities can grow.
Developing Approaches
Supporting practitioners to identify and develop practical, relational, and systemic approaches for navigating opportunities, challenges, and organisational contexts. This may include strengthening confidence, using one's voice, sharing ideas, building professional networks, increasing visibility, taking on new responsibilities, or giving themselves permission to pull up a chair.
Creating Opportunities & Progression
Helping practitioners recognise, develop, and build upon existing strengths and stories of success. For some, this may involve exploring pathways into leadership and management. For others, the focus may be on creating opportunities to [re]design and strengthen preferred professional identities and futures.

FEES
V3SSP is funded by the sponsoring organisation and represents an investment in professional identity, visibility, contribution, wellbeing, workforce development, retention, future leadership, and creating pathways towards stories of success.
Organisational investment: From £1,000 per practitioner.
