Safeguarding

Although VOW is not a crisis or emergency service, safeguarding responsibilities remain an important aspect of ethical and professional practice.

If information is shared, suggesting there are concerns regarding:

  • serious harm to yourself or others,
  • the safety or wellbeing of a child or vulnerable adult,
  • or significant professional misconduct or unlawful activity,

VOW may need to consider sharing relevant information with appropriate services or authorities.

Where possible, safeguarding concerns will be discussed openly with the practitioner before any action is taken.

VOW aims to approach safeguarding with sensitivity, care, and professional responsibility.
