Valuing Our Workforce (VOW) was created in response to the challenges, dilemmas, and inequitable experiences Black, South Asian, and racially minoritised practitioners face along their social work journey.
VOW is an independent psychosocial and systemic framework supporting Black, South Asian, and racially minoritised practitioners working within children's social care across the UK. Through free mentoring, a fee-based sponsorship programme, university partnerships, supervision, workshops, and dedicated practice resources, VOW creates reflexive spaces where practitioners can think things through, build on strengths, develop professional identities, and create pathways towards stories of success
